Rod arrived quickly and securely. I rigged it up and tried it on my pool. Very smooth and easy to cast. Can't wait to get on water with fish!

I bought this rod to fish rivers in the 4 Corners Area; i.e., Gunnison, Rio Grande, and San Juan. IMHO, SA Amplitude Infinity is the perfect fit. I tried it on the San Juan a couple days ago and of course nothing was happening on top but that didn’t stop me from playing with some #18 dries. I was throwing those flies into the wind and on target with no effort whatsoever. I also tossed some #20 nymphs with an indicator, talk about responsive……..jeez, unbelieveable. If you can have only one fly rod, this is the one. BTW, Fin & Fire offers a substantial discount on that line w/ an Orvis reel.
Outstanding! My review is more directed at the store than the rod itself. I cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Fin and Fire. I came in to the store having done countless hours of research and already having a good idea of what I was looking for. Chris immediately started helping me decide between two rods that I researched and it was not long before I was casting them out back. He then helped me choose the correct reel and lines and in no time at all spooled my new reel with backing and the line. There is no comparison between buying a fly rod at a big box store and a small town shop with customer service like Fin and Fire. If you are looking to buy a rod, do it right and give these guys a visit. Lastly, a huge thank you to Chris for making my decisions so much easier. I will be back!
