First off let me say how grateful I am for the great customer service provided to me. My package was lost in shipping and the guys were quick to help me out and get me another reel sent out. Thank you guys, I really appreciate that. This reel was a perfect match for my 10’6 3wt Sage Sense. The build quality is amazing. Drag is very smooth. The reel it’s self is pretty large. It’s bigger than a 5wt reel. But this does help with line pick up as well as getting the reel to be perfectly balanced. I was surprised after fishing with it all day how much finding that balance in your set up can reduce arm fatigue. Currently running a Rio Technical Nymph fly line and couldn’t be happier.
Beautifully balanced w my 10'6" Euro rod...love it
Perfect size, large narrow arbor, adjustable weight to get that perfect balance... Now I just need to find a fish big enough to put the drag through its paces.
Excellent place to ordered from. The free 2 day shipping is awesome and always arrives on time.
Fast shipping and great products
Love the Redengton tilt reel. I removed 2 of the weights to get it perfectly balanced and it fished like a dream. Super smooth and quick uptake of line. No more tippet or mono line get stick between reel body and spool either! Plus, the two-tone looks awesome and unique!
The Tilt balances my Douglas 11’ 3wt very nicely using all three weights. Balances with the tip up which is want I want for nymphing.
Smooth, fast, and full-caged. Balances 11' Euro rod nicely. F&F got all the tweaks I requested just right and delivered fast.
Reel was delivered quickly and set up with all weights installed. Looks beautiful by the way. I easily removed 2 weights as I have a lighter 2 wt rod. The reel functions flawlessly. Great drag too. Haven’t used in any big stream conditions yet but I know it’ll perform well
Ordered the tilt from Fin and Fire from their website even though I live in Bend Or. I also ordered Rio's line and red backing. I received everything from UPS in 2 days! Backing and fly line on the reel. I'm very happy with the shop. A few days ago, I drove to Fin and Fire to pick up some Maxima leader material and indicator material. I made sure to tell the gentleman behind the counter how happy I was with my online purchase. Great shop and great service. I hope to use the reel when the weather warms up.
Great reel....and great retailer to deal with
