Honestly exactly what I expected from Reddington, perfection. Love the action. Broke it in nice on the San Juan River N.M. Wanted a 9ft 5wt to toss some size 26-30 midges, maybe some size 18-22 drys and it preformed perfectly. Even threw some leeches on a nymph rig no problem.

I have owned & 8’6” 5 wt for 10 years. Big pan fish, bass and trout. Excellent rod for a beginner or expert. My fly guide in Wyoming loves this rod. You don’t need much of reel except to hold the line. Pair this up with Rio gold classic trout and you have a rig that can fish any where for fish under 5 lbs

Despite the low cost this is a great fly rod. I have 4 5wt rods, ECHO, Orvis , Sage etc. It stands up to all of them and is a dream to cast. I bought one for my wife last year its now her go to .
