Lamson Guru X HD Fly Reel

Full-Frame Performance for Spey, Switch, and Euro Nymphing

The Lamson Guru X HD Fly Reel takes the precision-machined Guru X platform and adds a full-frame design that completely captures fly line, mono, and thin running line. Built for Spey, switch, and Euro nymphing applications, the HD format adds security and durability without giving up the lightweight feel and clean engineering of the Guru X series.

Sealed Conical Drag with Smooth Startup

Lamson’s proprietary Sealed Conical Drag System delivers smooth performance with virtually no startup inertia and a broad drag range. The sealed design helps protect critical components from water and debris, while the enlarged fluted drag knob provides easier adjustment with indexed feedback.

Full-Frame HD Construction

The HD frame completely surrounds the spool to help prevent thin running lines or monofilament from slipping between the frame and spool. This makes it especially well suited for two-handed rods, Euro nymphing systems, and other techniques that rely on thin-diameter line.

Large Arbor with Refined Ergonomics

A large arbor improves line pickup and helps reduce line memory. The shaped Delrin handle provides a secure grip, while the integrated counterweight reduces unnecessary parts and weight. Click-on/click-off spool engagement and tool-free retrieve conversion keep the reel simple and efficient on the water.

Summary
