Smooth Casting, Powerful Skagit Heads For Big Flies And Sink Tips
The Elite Skagit Max Launch replaces the Skagit Max Fly Line. The front 5 feet of line is thicker in diameter and increase grain weight every foot to help with turn over of T 14 and T17 tips.
RIO Skagit Max Launch heads deliver the power needed to cast large flies and sinking tips more elegantly than ever before. The unique weight distribution deeply loads rods for long, powerful casts, while the refined taper design generates incredibly smooth loops which transition seamlessly from head to tip to fly. The low stretch core gives incredible levels of sensitivity when casting and fishing, and provides enhanced detection of takes, more positive hook sets, and far greater control when playing a fish.
In addition, this line is built with SlickCast, creating the slickest, most durable coating on the market—producing the least amount of friction ever measured in a fly line.
- With Low Stretch, Ultra-Slick Performance.
- Powerful front end to easily cast large flies and fast sinking tips
- Complete series of heads with varying lengths and small size increments
- Ultra-low stretch ConnectCore
- Built with RIO's exceptionally slick, durable SlickCast coating

Excellent service and delivery was on time! I’ll be back
Just as advertised! Perfect!👌
Hi! Love ordering from you folks. Fast response - and great shipping! Order arrived on time, and in perfect condition. About the fly line, I had to adjust it (read shorten/ lighten it just a bit. Lopped off about 1.5 feet off the front end, and made a new tip for it. I fish it with the rod that I purchased from you a few tears back (2 handed Beulah Opal saltwater 9/10 weight.) With that rod and line setup, I am able to throw flies that are the size of a small bird. Thanks again for being a great Fly Fishing product source! All best, Ray L
Great line and fantastic service from Fin & Fire!
Rio continues to perfect lines for two-hand rods. It all comes together with the "launch". Less effort, longer casts, and greater control. I do not think it could be better.
