Few fly lines have earned legendary status like the Cortland 444 Peach. For more than 50 years, this iconic line has remained a trusted favorite among anglers who appreciate timeless performance, effortless casting, and unmatched versatility. The Double Taper version continues that tradition—delivering delicate presentations and smooth control for anglers who value precision over flash.
From technical dry fly drifts to subtle nymph rigs and small streamers, this is the line many anglers learned on—and continue reaching for decades later.
The double taper design provides superior roll casting ability, delicate presentations, and excellent line control at shorter to moderate distances. Its ultra-supple finish keeps handling smooth in a wide range of temperatures, while the high-floating design helps maintain clean drifts and improved strike detection.
Built for freshwater anglers who appreciate refined presentations, the 444 Peach remains one of fly fishing’s most dependable classics.
