Action is nice but have had to replace the tip section twice, it may as well be made of a dry stick of spaghetti. Once landing a small fish and the second time pulling the fly down to put it on the hook holder. Don't think I even got 10 uses out of it. There are better quality rods out there for the same price.

The performance of the Trout X is outstanding. It's light, great feel, and reasonably priced. I first bought the 4 wt which was quickly followed by the 5wt. This rod really matches my casting stroke well. The Trout X is a true to weight Rod which is hard to find now a days. It matches well with a Rio Gold. If i had one critique it would be the quality of the hardware which personally, is not a concern of mine. I just want to hammer some trout and this rod gets it done. But one... you won't be disappointed.
