Customer photo review of Tibor Riptide Fly Reel

Fin and Fire was great! They had this reel in stock when everyone else had a months long waiting list. Everything went without a hitch and you could tell by talking with them that these folks are fishermen and know and understand the wants and needs of fishermen. They were courteous and competent. I’m making them a go-to shop for anything I need to order because they have it in stock and it got to me in Texas from Oregon quickly. It was truly a pleasure doing business with them and will definitely do business with them again.

Well everyone already knows how awesome this reel is. This was my first purchase made from fin & fire and I was rather impressed, not 10 minutes after I placed my order was it out the door and across the country in 2 days!

Tibor Riptide Fly Reel

I’ve been trying to get the Tibor Riptide for 2 years. I got the “skunk” color. I had put an order in for it back in the springtime. Looks like Fin & Fire gets more of them then just about anyone else. I’m lining it with a shooting head system for Stripers. For Salmon I’ll rig straight to the running line. I have it for my Sage Salt HD 9’9wt

Can't beat Tibor and this Riptide is exactly what I was looking for. Great service from Fin and Fire and quick shipping. My reel arrived loaded with backing and fly line!

Tibor Riptide Fly Reel

I was on the fence with the Lemon Lime color but decided to give it a shot thanks to the encouragement of one of the Fin and Fire Team Members and I'm glad I did. It's a Tibor Riptide so that was a given but the color also works well. It just took a little vision outside the Black / silver that I have typically gone with in the past. Great reel that came loaded with backing and line and shipped super fast. Great job Fin and Fire!

Tibor Riptide Fly Reel

Perfect transaction. Communication was prompt and professional. Purchase arrived exactly how I expected and while this item seems to becoming a bit rare, F&F had it ready to go and out the same day I ordered. Can't say more than that. I'll be back!

I initially thought something was wrong with the reel and addressed this with Fin & Fire customer service. They were very prompt to come back and say they would replace the reel. As it turned out someone in my family had dropped the reel, which we were able to fix the issue relatively easily…so no return required. Anyway, Fin & Fire were great in all regards from purchase to offering to replace the reel etc. In all regards was so impressed with Fin & Fire I now purchased an Everglades reel !

Beautiful reel! I have the Tibor Signature as well but love this classic and it balances perfectly on my Vintage T&T 10 weight. Stripers beware.

The reel: It's a Tibor. It'll be really good. The shop: Actually had it in stock, ordered it Friday afternoon and it was on my porch Monday morning. Would've preferred to get it from my local fly shop, but it would take months. Next best thing is to order online from an actual fly shop that seems do good for its community and resources. Beats the hell out of amazon.

Tibor Riptide Fly Reel

Purchased a Tibor Riptide reel (9/10/11) in frost silver online from Fin & Fire. Prior to the purchase, I talked with Chris by phone and he was very helpful, friendly and informative. Reel shipped the day I placed the order and their system keep me informed until the moment the reel reached my doorstep. The customer service experience was excellent. The reel is a work of sporting art and beautiful engineering. I love the weight, feel and the sound (forward and reverse). I am pairing with a Scott Meridian 10 wt rod.
