The G. Loomis Asquith Spey Fly Rod is built for anglers who demand power, precision, and efficiency from a modern two-handed rod. Designed for swinging flies to steelhead, salmon, and other hard-fighting fish, the Asquith Spey delivers exceptional line control, fast energy transfer, and effortless casting performance.
Built with Shimano’s proprietary Spiral X technology, the Asquith Spey uses a revolutionary triple-layer construction to increase rigidity and power transmission without adding unnecessary weight. This design helps reduce blank ovalization, improve recovery, and deliver clean energy through the casting stroke for greater control with spey lines and shooting heads.
Asquith Spey blanks are rolled in Kumamoto, Japan, and each rod is hand-finished in Woodland, Washington. Premium SiC titanium stripper guides, titanium Recoil guides, Flor grade cork, and a custom aluminum reel seat with CI4+ insert complete a rod built for serious two-handed anglers who spend long days on big water.
