I love these boots. I have purchased thousands of dollars of crispi boots and have never had any problems with fit, wear or quality until this pair. Its not the problem that a piddly little lace loop broke on the boot, it was the customer service I received from crispi support when I brought it to their attention.. I knew the lace loops would eventually break/fail on my other pair as well... so I communicated with crispi support... they said to send them to them for evaluation and consider my request to replace the lace loop with a lace HOOK. I received word back... they contacted me via email and we also spoke on the phone... they said putting a lace hook in the place of the lace loop was a bad idea and that it would rub my ankle... so they wouldn't do it. The customer rep said this failure was probably a "One Off" failure of quality. I asked them to send me some complete sets of lace hooks and I would have that done myself... they agreed but they said it would violate the warranty. I said OK. I received the boots back with a bag of incomplete sets of lace hooks... no problem.. I had some better lace hooks put on and the boots and I've had no problems, at all after putting the hooks on.. during all of this time, they never offered once to replace the boots as per good customer service... customer appreciation. All over a lace loop. These are great boots... now that I've fixed the design flaw.. I just hope and pray I get better service when I have to re-sole them with crispi support.
