Sage Fly Rods are known as a high design, high line speed, high technology product. In this episode of Fin and Fire with Jeff Mishler I sit with Peter Knox, an engineer and fly rod designer for Sage and dive into the essence of a fly rod. We also visit his journey to this point in life and learn that a local kid with a passion can realize his dream.
About Jeff Mishler
Jeff Mishler is a fifth generation Oregonian who's life work is hard to quantify. Father, writer, photographer, television commercial director, environmentalist, video producer/distributor, website manager, hunter, angler and lifelong recreationist who lives a fly-by-the-seat-of-your pants mantra. If he’s not in his office writing another essay or developing a show concept, he’s chasing mallards and pheasants with his lab Hailey, running his jet sled up a local river to a sweet steelhead run, setting up on a screaming bull elk with bow in hand or conspiring with his small circle of equally affected steelhead bums while downing healthy portions of really good Oregon beer.

Episode | 92 Bob Hodson left Southern California at age 19. He took a caretaker job at a remote hunting lodge, surrounded by the wildness of a 1970's Alaska. In this episode of Fin And Fire With Jeff Mishler, Bob and I discuss his well lived life while maintaining a solid family unit and the endless pursuit of critters with a fly rod.

Episode 90 | Tom McGuane invited me to come to Florida and hang out for a few days early in the Tarpon season. Eventually, this conversation evolved. In this episode of Fin And Fire With Jeff Mishler I get to ask the questions I've always wanted to ask, and he shares sincerely his thoughts on inspiration, technique, processes and yes, angling.
